REVIEW: Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Film Adaptation: Where the Crawdads Sing

Where the Crawdads Sings is a novel by Delia Owens, that sits in many genres; Mystery, Literary Fiction, and Bildungsroman. That follows the short life of a resilient young girl abandoned by those who were supposed to love her, and raised by the marsh that surrounded her. From every which way she turned there was darkness where people should have been, and obstacles no child should have to face. And in spite of it all, she grew into an intelligent young woman whose soul was so blindingly pure it could break you in two. Scattered through the chapters of Kyra Clark’s life was another story that intertwined, a murder mystery some find too hard to solve and keeps you guessing more than you’d like. Whatever happened to Chase Andrews?

REVIEW: Twenty Times A Lady by Karyn Bosnak

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Film Adaptation: What’s Your Number?

Twenty Times A Lady is a Romance Novel by Karyn Bosnak. The book covers just over two months of Delilah Darling’s chaotic life. I say chaotic because after reading an article in the New York Post she starts to spiral just slightly; then she’s sent into a tailspin when her future is thrown off balance and finally knocked off a cliff by some poor choices and a little bit of family pressure. So being the slightly chaotic woman she is, Delilah decides to do the one thing that you think couldn’t possibly help her future; she goes on a literal Man-Hunt in search of all the men she’s slept with. What could possibly go wrong?
