October Wrap Up

I’ve been struggling today and yesterday, so that is why this post is late. I also haven’t read a great deal this month with life being, well, life. I managed to read Stolen by Kelley Armstrong, which I loved, so go check out my review, as it was a five-star read. I have the next book already purchased for when I have the energy to get back into the series. I’ve been mostly writing this month, which I’m making great headway with, so that’s been very exciting! I also took a few days off of it to relax and celebrate my birthday and my favourite day of the year, Halloween, so I think that has zapped my energy.

When I haven’t been writing, I’ve been comfort-reading a favourite series of mine. I will most likely review that series next year when I reread it, as I’m almost finished. The next book comes out in February, and I am ridiculously excited about it. I never need to read the blurb for any of the books or novellas in the Breeds series by Lora Leigh; I just dive in and enjoy the ride.

Is there an upcoming book release that you are excited about?

September Wrap Up

Life is really kicking me in the ovaries at the moment, but we are now in my favourite season of the year, so naturally I had to change my little layout. It’s been a bit of a month. I am absolutely shattered as usual, but I’m getting a good amount of writing down, just not on the book I’m supposed to be working on, but we will ignore that. I am all over the place with mood reading—far too many books on the go than I can usually cope with—and apparently, I’m having a shifter moment, which I’m not upset about.

I had two favourite books this month, one obviously being my five-star read: The Hunger Games. I was emotionally wrecked by this book, so of course, it is a must-read. I’m annoyed I waited so long, and I’m looking forward to the next one when my mood swings that way. The other is my four-star read, Bitten. I’m just about to dive into the second in this series. I bloody adore Clay, but I’m a sucker for the word ‘Darling’, and Elena and I share too many personality traits, and I’m not sure it’s a good thing.

Have you got a favourite book for this month? Or how is life treating you?

August Wrap Up

My motivation and energy have been extremely low this month, so my reading, writing, and editing have taken a big nose dive. I am thankful I had a few short stories on my Kindle; it is just a shame they were not for me.

I have paused my reading of ACOWAR. I am loving every single page, especially Az, but my mood-reading ways have made me switch gears for the time being. I just did not want to force myself to finish the rest as it would no longer be enjoyable, so instead I am reading The Hunger Games. I am loving it. I love the films anyway and watch them nearly every year, so I am not surprised, but I have teared up so many times already!

I hope I get to read more this month, and I hope you are loving the books that have you gripped.

What is your favourite season? Mine is autumn, and not just because I was born in it. I just love all things autumnal and spooky. Autumn has already started for me; the pumpkin lights are on, the pumpkin spice lattes have been flowing, and I am watching Gilmore Girls as I type this.
