March Wrap Up

It was not a bad reading month this time around, and in all honesty, I probably would have finished three books before the end of the month if my reviews didn’t take 1–5 days, depending on the ridiculous number of quotes I highlighted and my procrastination, of course. I don’t know why I do this, but I know I won’t change the process, despite how often I moan at myself.

But aside from the cold that wiped me out, March has been good to me. The seeds I’ve been planting are coming along well, and I’m looking forward to getting out in the garden more this April! And as always, I look forward to reading far more books than I’ve managed these last two months.

As this month had two five-star reads, they are both my favourites. Both George and Max have made it safely to my book boyfriend collection. And I cannot wait to read more of Julia Quinn, as she never steers me wrong, and I plan to try out more of Ava Ross’s books, as this was my first of hers.

I hope April brings you all the great reads!

REVIEW: Because of Miss Bridgerton by Julia Quinn

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Because of Miss Bridgerton is book 1 in the regency romance series Rokesbys, a Bridgerton prequel by Julia Quinn. The Bridgertons and Rokesbys children have grown up with each other, being each other’s closest neighbours and their parents being great friends. Therefore, it was almost guaranteed that Billie Bridgerton would marry one of the Rokesby brothers at some point, but never would it be George Rokesby; they vex each other immensely, constantly jab and mock each other. So when one cat causes Billie more pain than she bargained for, they are quite literally stuck with each other. Was that the first push they needed to notice that loathing each other was a complete waste of time?
